President Message

 The ''Develop individuality'' part of our group's management philosophy, "Develop individuality and realize everyone's dreams through technology and service", includes our hope for each employee to develop and blossom in their own individuality as a strength. The reason why this management philosophy, which is consistent with today's diversity and inclusion, was created more than 30 years ago may be because the long-cherished spirit of respecting employees with rich individuality is still deeply rooted in our company. In our company's history of more than 140 years, we have faced many difficulties and trials, as well as drastic changes in the business environment due to the passage of time. The reason we have been able to overcome these challenges is because we have maintained our founder's spirit while valuing a flexible and creative approach and continuing to explore new possibilities. I believe they have learned from history that the individuality of their employees makes the organization stronger, leading to growth and resilience.
 Our group's mission is not only to not discriminate based on differences in individuality, such as nationality, gender, disability, gender identity, family, and values, but also to leverage the strengths that come from differences as an organization. We aim to be a company where the management team takes the lead in creating a work environment where there is mutual recognition and where employees can work with enthusiasm.


 

Respect for human rights and D&I management initiatives

 Our management philosophy exists as the foundation that supports sustainability management. The "Develop individuality" part of our company's management philosophy, "Develop individuality and realize everyone's dreams through technology and service,'' includes the hope for each employee's individuality to be nurtured and blossomed at our company. The source of our company's vitality is that our diverse human resources, each with their own individualities, are respected and that each person can fully demonstrate their abilities, leading to our growth and resilience.
 The term "individuality" as used in our management philosophy refers to all differences in race, ethnicity, nationality, language, gender, age, disability, values, culture, religion, personality, experience, sexual orientation, gender identity, health, family, social status, educational background, and work experience. In order to leverage the strengths that emerge from these differences as an organization, we are implementing a variety of measures. In addition, in carrying out daily operations, the prohibition and abolition of inhumane labor such as forced labor and child labor, and the elimination of discrimination in employment and occupation are stipulated and widely known, and all human rights are respected. Respect is at the root of our corporate activities. In addition, the Compliance Action Manual that our executives and employees must abide by clearly states such things as "eliminating unconscious bias", "promoting diversity and inclusion" ,and "preventing all forms of harassment". We strive to foster awareness of human rights throughout the company by distributing and disseminating cards and implementing SDGs e-learning and training.
